The Art of the Modern Warrior
Roy Dean is an author, educator, and musician. He is most widely known for his expertise in the art of jiu jitsu.
His martial background is well rounded, with black belts in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Seibukan Jujutsu, Kodokan Judo, and Aikikai Aikido—giving him a unique lens to view and transmit the art.
Roy’s has channeled his artistic perspective into his videos on the art of jiu jitsu, fusing cinematic footage, technical precision, and emotional music to inspire viewers everywhere.
With affiliated academies around the world, Roy helps shape the future of the art while remaining a student of Roy Harris (7th Dan). He is recognized as a 4th degree black belt by the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation (IBJJF).
