What to Expect

Experience Japan for the first time, or return to the land or the rising sun. The birthplace of jiu jitsu welcomes you. For RDA Affiliates and their students only.

We will meet in Tokyo on September 10, and the days are lightly structured so we can all adjust.

We have 10 tickets for the Sumo tournament in Tokyo on the opening day. This will be a dream come true for me, and I’d love to have you there to enjoy it as well.

Arrive in Tokyo

As everyone arrives, we take time to settle in, get comfortable, and begin connecting with those around us. The journey starts here.

Depart from your home

Arrrive in Tokyo. Transit to Candeo Hotel Shimbashi.

September 11

Bus tour of Tokyo (half day). 

September 12

Group Lesson at the Kodokan

September 13

Free day. Opening day of Sumo for those interested. 10 tickets are available. You can pay for this separately here.

stage Two

Takamatsu Training

Together we will traverse the Japanese countryside to Takamatsu, where we will train in a brand new, state of the art Budo hall. We will have additional attendees that weren’t on the official affiliate trip joining us on those days too.
